Wow! I love the depth of your watercolors and the perspective of this painting. What type of paper are you using? I have been experimenting with several and have not found one I truly like. So I am looking for suggestions.
Hi Lynn-This was Arches 140 lbs Cold Press watercolor paper. So far it is my favorite especially as the tooth is just right. I buy it in 22 in x 30 in sheets and tear it down to use 1/8 sheets or 1/16 sheets. I purchased some other brands of watercolor paper the other day to try out, so I too am experimenting.
I'm awed by the depth too, like Lynn. And I like the way you've cropped the image--very unusual, I think. The leaf shapes are wonderful too--so varied.
I really like your cropping of the huge apple in the foreground. Much more interesting than the literal way I approached the image. Your color saturation is just grand!

This is so lovely, the color on the apple is so juicy!
